Senior Farwell's

A Teachers Farwell to our beloved class of 2023.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Class of 2023...wear Sunscreen,

Now that I have the joke that only your parents are likely to understand out of the way I only have these words of advice for you as you move forward into adulthood.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your senior year. Stay in touch!"

~Mr. Augustine

"#1 Don't be crippled by fear of failure. Try new things regularly. Don't expect to be perfect or terrific at them in the beginning. The key is to accept the fact that you will likely fail in the beginning. That is part of the process of growth. The key is to learn from your failed attempts and make the necessary changes and take the necessary steps to improve. Don't avoid things just because you are bad at them in the beginning. ALL growth happens outside of your comfort zone.

#2 It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war...

Be ready, be prepared, be trained, be physically fit, be strong... (Be a warrior) you will someday need all that. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but someday it will be needed of you. If you are not "prepared" (a warrior) you will be no help to anyone. You won't be able to help yourself, your family, your loved ones etc... In the meantime, when things are going well, and smoothly, kick back and relax (gardening) but still, be ready at all times.

#3 if you want things to be different, you have to be willing to do things differently."

~Mr. BeBeau

"In the words of Mr. Feeny, "Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do good." This world is going to knock you down, but how you react will show your character in more ways than you know. Take the knowledge you've received at BHS and enjoy your life. Make us proud, but more importantly, make YOURSELF proud."

~Ms. Altman

"Class of 2023, As you navigate your life as an Adult, remember:

Thank you for entertaining me for the past 5 years! Best wishes on your future endeavors!"

~Miss Lueddecke

"Once I walked from there to here-bears, and pitfalls everywhere! - When last arrived my eventide In peace I slept and softly sighed.

While you walk from here to there - Bears and pitfall be aware! - Yet may, you sleep with a sweet sigh When last you rest at eventide."

~Mr Schmittle

"Always follow your dreams."

~Mrs. Karen

"Be sure to take care of yourself. Stay active and healthy. Enjoy every little opportunity to do fun and new things

Go on a spring break at least one time. :)"

~Mrs. Schloer

~ Mrs.Larson
